Controversial stand-up Shazia Mirza begins her four-day tour of Switzerland on Tuesday in Geneva. The British-Asian artist has provoked laughs all over the world for her observational style of comedy....
Shazia Mirza, who has appeared on CBS's 60 Minutes, NBC's Last Comic Standing and Have I got News for You (BBC), often draws inspiration from her muslim upbringing.
Here, during dinner before her performance in Geneva, she speaks about Switzerland, her approach to stand-up and her parent's attitude towards the "afterlife".
Her four-day tour of Switzerland with Canadian comic Jason John Whitehead continues at the Loft in Lausanne on January 13. Dates in Bern at The Panyard (Jan 14) and the Mascotte in Zurich (Jan 15) are also scheduled.
