Farmer crushed by his own vehicle

A farmer was crushed by his own car on Thursday night in Eggerstanden in canton Appenzell, said local police.

His wife found the 45-year-old dead outside their home on Friday morning.

According to preliminary investigations, the incident occurred when the man attempted to stop his parked car from moving on a slope.

He slipped under the left front wheel and was mortally wounded, said police
